不定代词－another,other的具体用法

　　another(=an other)，别的、另一个、泛指众多中的一个，一般后面接单数名词，前面不能加定冠词。

　　例：I don’t like this one,Show me another.(another做宾语)

　　二、（the）other的用法

　　1、the other的一般用法

　　other前有定冠词the时表示两个中的一个，常与one连用，用“one…the other…”。

　　例：I have two colour pencils:one is red,the other is blue.

　　2、the other与another的比较

　　another是许多中的另外一个。the other是指两个或两部分中的另外一个或另外一部分。

　　例：It’s another way² of saying³ fast⁴.

　　(指有许多说得快的方法，不止两种，这只是其中的一种，所以用another)

　　3、“other+名词”的用法

　　other+名词相当于others,意为”别的”。

　　例：Some people⁵ are listening to the radio,other people(=others)are watching⁶ TV.

　　(可能还有一些人在干别的)

　　4、“the other+名词”的用法

　　the other+名词相当于the others,意为“其余的”，同时也相当于the rest⁷。

　　例：There are thirty⁸ students⁹ in our class.Twenty¹⁰ are girls.The other students(=The others)are boys.

　　5、“other+名词”与“the other+名词”的用法比较

　　He may fall¹¹ behind other studnets(=ohters)when he come back.(当他回来时，他可能落在后面了)

　　He may fall behind the other students(=the others;=the rest) when he comes back.（当他回来时，他可能是最后一名了）
