Tell的意思你知道几个？

我不信这件事。(不是“告诉我另一件”)

注意听我说(这是很重要的)。(译成“我在告诉你”毫无意义。)

3.Don't tell me you don't know.

你还能不知道?/我不信你会不知道。(不是“不要告诉我你不知道”。)

4.Tell me, it was a misunderstanding.

这肯定是一场误会吧?(表示说话人不相信某事的心情，但愿这是场误会。)

5.You tell me, you love me.

你许愿你爱我。(如将tell译成“告诉”，意思会很滑稽。)

6. Don't let him tell you that.

千万别信他。

7. He couldn't tell himself why he had kept up all the photos.

他自己也解释不清楚为什么一直保存着这些照片。(这里译成“告诉自己”讲不通。)
