Fortune selected the 100 Best Companies to Work For by asking companies to apply to this list. To be considered, companies have to allow 400 of their employees to be surveyed anonymously¹. This year we talk to a hundred thousand employees. Four hundred and forty-six companies applied².

The list goes on and on and on. It's the kind of place where, yes, you're going to work but you also know you are going to have a fun time as well.

The perk that blows everybody away, Google, is the free food. It's not just free. It's not just three meals. It's also good. It's also very. On the more intangible side, what a stimulating⁶ environment Google is! Not only are they working on cutting-edge products, but they really think about how to occupy their employees' brains. If you want to work, I just couldn't imagine a more exciting place to do it right now.
