 Taking a look at the satellite image first. And area of low pressure is bringing rain, storms to southern Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. Another low over the Northern Territory is triggering showers and storms. 

 
Now for a look around the states, starting with Queensland. Thunderstorms in the western and southern parts of the state. And isolated showers in the eastern districts. 
 
For New South Wales, there’ll be isolated showers on the western slopes and ranges, and thunderstorms west of the divide. 
 
It will be wet day ahead for Victoria with scattered showers and thunderstorms covering most of the state. 
 
In Tasmania, there’ll be showers in the north and east this morning, but the chance of late thunderstorms in the southeast. 
 
Isolated showers for the southern and western coast of South Australia. Afternoon thunderstorms for the eastern and northern parts of agricultural area. 
 
Western Australia can expect isolated showers over the south of the state and late thunderstorms over the far northeast Kimberley region.
 
And there’ll be isolated showers and storms covering most of the Top End.
 
A look at the weather for the capital cities tomorrow. Possible thunderstorms for Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra; clearing showers for Adelaide and Hobart; a cloudy day for Perth; rain for Melbourne and late thunder expected for Darwin.
