Next week’s US Open has lost some star power as Maria Sharapova has pulled out of the year’s final Grand Slam of the season citing a right shoulder injury. The U.S. Tennis Association announced the withdrawal of the 2006 champion.
 下周的美国网球公开赛，我们将看不到某位明星球员的身影。莎拉波娃因右肩伤痛已经退出今年的美网大满贯决赛。
 Sharapova, who was originally seeded third for the Open, says she had hoped to be able to go but the Russian’s shoulder just wasn’t ready. The draw for the Slam at Flushing Meadows will be held on Thursday ahead of the start of round one play on Monday.
 作为美网3号种子选手，莎拉波娃表示，她本是希望能够参加此次大满贯决赛的，但无奈肩膀不给力。该次大满贯决赛抽签活动将于周四在法拉盛草地公园进行，而首轮赛事将在下周一举行。
