新西兰日本外长讨论双边合作

 　　WELLINGTON, June 7 (Xinhua) -- Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida will discuss bilateral¹ cooperation in trade and regional issues when he visits New Zealand this weekend, New Zealand Foreign Affairs Minister Murray McCully said Friday.

　　Kishida's visit would be the first by a Cabinet minister in Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's government, which came into power in late 2012, said McCully.

　　Japan's participation² in the 11-nation Trans Pacific Partnership³ trade negotiations⁴ had opened a new chapter in the bilateral relationship, McCully said in a statement.

　　"I look forward to discussions with Mr. Kishida on how we can strengthen our cooperation, both bilaterally⁵ and in the wider region," he said.

　　Kishida would also meet Trade Minister Tim Groser.
