Ting: So John, have you ever¹ been to China before?

Ting: John 你以前来过中国吗？

John: No, I haven’t. This is the first time I have been to China.

Ting: Have you travelled² to many other countries?

John: To be honest³, I have never been to an Asian⁴ country before but I have visited many countries in Europe⁵.
