High Flight

 

 

Oh, I have slipped the ¹⁾surly ²⁾bonds of earth

And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

Sunward I’ve climbed and joined the ³⁾tumbling ⁴⁾mirth

Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things

You have not dreamed of; ⁵⁾wheeled and ⁶⁾soared and swung

I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung

My eager craft through ⁸⁾footless halls of air;

Up, up the long, ⁹⁾delirious², burning blue

And while, with silent lifting mind I’ve ¹¹⁾trod

The high ¹²⁾untrespassed ¹³⁾sanctity of space,

02、高高翱翔

 

哦，我逃出阴沉的土地镣铐

乘着双翼与银铃笑声在天空起舞；

迎着太阳我高攀回旋在

洒落阳光的欢乐云层间——我做了无数

你不曾梦想过的事情；盘旋、高转

在透亮的寂静里。在那里翱翔

我追逐呼啸的风，

热望恣意穿越空中厅堂;

高飞，高飞在无边的、欣喜若狂的、燃烧的蓝天上

我如此从容如此优雅地踏上风所能到达的巅峰，

云雀不曾到过此处，鹰不曾在这里飞翔；

而静静的升腾的感情领我步入

天地高不可及的圣洁里
