Gao Fu, the head of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, says although COVID-19 vaccines are in short supply in China right now, the country's newly approved single dose vaccine¹ will greatly help the world's most populous⁵ nation to achieve herd immunity. He also emphasizes the importance of worldwide cooperation on vaccine production and voices his support for the “vaccine passport.”
