China's FAST telescope opens to global scientists

 

China officially opened use of its FAST radio telescope to foreign researchers on Wednesday. Work at the observatory¹ in Guiyang in the south of the country will give special attention to mysterious celestial² bodies called pulsars, located deep in space. The telescope's extreme sensitivity will help scientists from around the globe enrich their exploration of the universe.
