Impacts of new regulations for off-campus tutoring in China

 

Chinese authorities have issued new regulations on the education sector¹. The move bans private institutions that teach core subjects from raising capital from the stock market, or from providing tutoring for primary and middle school students on weekends and holidays. The overhaul² on education aims to reduce the burden of excessive homework, easing pressure on students after school.
