【情景再现】

Jenny正在设计新款的连衣裙，突然想到一种异样风格的裙子，便连忙向设计师推荐。没想到设计师听后摇摇头说：How do you come up with all these half-baked ideas?

bake是“烤，烘烤”的意思，可以用来表达“烤蛋糕，烤面包”等。baked是bake的被动式，half-baked意思就是只烤了一半的，半生不熟的“。这个词语用来比喻一个想法或设计未经过严密通盘的思考，也就是”幼稚的，思虑不周的，未完成的“，相当于汉语里的”半吊子“。所以一个不周全的计划或项目就可以叫做a half-baked plan¹ or project²。
