After years of denial, sprinter¹ Marion Jones has pleaded guilty to using steroids. Jones could face prison time. Her admission could cost her the five medals she won at the Sydney Olympics.

Three Duke lacrosse players falsely accused of rape² are suing the prosecutor³ who brought charges against them. Lawsuit⁴ also names the city of Durham, North Carolina and several police officers. The players were cleared of all charges earlier this year.

A Tennessee barber shot himself in the head in front of his town's City Council. Ronald "Bo" Ward⁵ killed himself after the council rejected his rezoning application.

A Minnesota mother says she will not ask for financial help to pay a 200, 000-dollar-fine for illegally sharing music online. A judge fined Jammie Thomas for downloading 24 songs. Thomas is the first person to fight online music sharing charges all the way to trial.
