1. The Obama administration is accusing Russian president Vladimir Putin of personally authorizing¹ the hacking² of democratic party official's emails. The White House also said it is a fact that the hacking helps president-elect Donald Trump³'s campaign. The Kremlin calls the allegation "Laughable Nonsense".

2. Russian president Putin is visiting Japan, while there he said he and Turkey's president are trying to broker⁴ a new round of peace talks for Syria.

3. President-elect Donald Trump was in Hershey, Pennsylvania on Thursday, the latest stop of his post-election thank you tour. He has upcoming visits to Alabama and Florida.

4. The northeastern U.S's caught a deep freeze with low temperature and high winds, bringing the wind chill to 30 below in some places. Wind gust⁵ reached 70 miles an hour along lake Ontario in New York state.
