More than 20,000 people have been rescued as floodwaters cover much of southern Lousiana. At least 4 people have died.

Iraqi Kurdish forces retook control of 5 villages after driving out Islamic State militants². US-ld coalition³ planes supported the Kurdish military operation.

And there are celebrations in Rio after sprinter⁴ Usain Bolt won his 3th straight Olympic 100-meter race. He's the first person to ever win that race 3 straight times.
