1. A "rambling¹" note expressing hatred² for police was found after a man went on shooting spree in Philadelphia overnight, killing³ a woman, injuring two police officers and wounding three others. The man was shot and killed by police.

2. A pipe bomb exploded in seaside park, New Jersey⁴, shortly before the start of a 5K charity race to benefit marines and sailors. No injuries were reported. But the race was canceled.

3. Donald Trump⁵ campaigned in Houston Saturday, telling an anti-immigration group that open-borders are costing U.S lives. Meantime, former defense⁶ secretary Robert Gates who served under president Obama and former president George W.Bush wrote a piece in Wall Street journal, describing Trump as "Beyond repair when it comes to national security".

4. Traditional bands and beer wagons⁷ took to the streets in Munich, Germany, as the city kick-off its annual October fest. The beer will be flowing until October, 3rd.
