Washington police say a woman described as erratic¹ and aggressive drove a car into a US Capitol Police cruiser near the US Capitol. She was later taken into custody². Police say shots were fired during the arrest, but there were no injuries.

UK Prime Minister Theresa May announced on Wednesday that Britain has triggered the European Union divorce process. May said the Article 50 of the EU's key treaty process was underway in accordance with the wishes of the British people.

President Donald Trump³ is vowing⁴ to step up efforts to combat the nation's addiction⁵ crisis. The president held a round-table with New Jersey⁶ Governor Chris Christie, launching a new addiction commission that Trump has asked his former rival to chair.

And a farmyard pig in South Africa is causing a stir in the art world with the unique talent for painting. "Pigcasso" was saved from slaughter⁷ and now brings home the bacon by selling her colorful creations around the world.
