　　It is fun to watch the lions and tigers and monkeys in a zoo. 在动物园里看狮子、老虎和猴子是很有趣的。

　　Probably you have many times begged¹ your parents to take you to see the animals. 也许你曾多次请求你的父母带你去看动物。

　　But did you ever stop to think that all the world is a zoo? 但你有没有停下来想一想，整个世界就是一个动物园?

　　Close about you are wild things of nature that are just as interesting as tigers and monkeys. 你身边的野生动物就像老虎和猴子一样有趣。

　　Do you know the names of all the kinds of birds that nest² near your home? 你知道在你家附近筑巢的各种鸟类的名字吗?

　　How many kinds of wild flowers can you name? 你能说出多少种野花名字?

　　Perhaps there are some wild animals near your home that you never dreamed lived there. 也许有一些野生动物在你家附近，你从来没有梦想过生活在那里。
