 　　How dear to this heart are the scenes of my childhood, 童年的时光多么美好，

　　When fond recollection presents them to view! 童年的回忆如在眼前！

　　The orchard¹, the meadow, the deep tangled² wildwood, 果园、草地和茂盛的密林，

　　And every loved spot which my infancy³ knew; 童年里处处如此可爱；

　　The wide-spreading pond, and the mill that stood by it: 宽阔的池塘，池塘边的磨坊：

　　The bridge and the rock where the cataract⁴ fell: 小桥、山石、瀑布流淌：

　　The cot of my father, the dairy house nigh it, 爸爸的畜棚，旁边的奶牛舍，

　　And e'en the rude bucket which hung in the well: 井里挂着粗制的木桶：
