Lesson 15 We Made a Bucket List

Jessica: Hey Dad, how does it feel to know that you have only a few weeks left before you retire?

Steven: I feel as free as a bird, but don't think I'm calling it quits just yet. I still have a few more things to finish up before I'm done.

Jessica: So, what are your plans for after you're done? Are you and Mom going to stay out here, or will you move closer to us?

Steven: Don't get me wrong, Jess. Your mom and I love you and your sisters, and things have been pretty quiet around the house. We do want to get out more and have an adventure.

Jessica: The empty nest getting to you?

Steven: Something like that. But your mother and I made a bucket list a few years back when we were planning for this.

See, she's always longed to see the rest of the world, and I've always wanted to learn sailing, so we enrolled¹ in some lessons and have started looking at routes for our trip.

Jessica: Wow, I'm jealous². I hope I have enough to retire at 65, but with how things are going, I don't know if that'll be possible.

Steven: It should be if you start saving³ now.
