 Yes, here were a set of sea-dogs, many of whom without the slightest bashfulness had boarded great whales on the high seas-entire strangers to them-and duelled them dead without winking¹;  不错,这儿是一群老练的水手,其中有许多人都曾在波涛汹涌的海洋上,毫不腼腆地攻打过许多大鲸,一眼不霎地把它们斗死了;

A curious sight; these bashful bears, these timid warrior² whalemen! 看看真够希奇;这些个怕羞的狗熊,这些个害臊而骁勇的捕鲸者!
