All the Queen's horses and all the Queen's men line defence at Buckingham Palace in London. But this storied home which attracts millions of tourists each year isn't a part of Queen Elizabeth's official fortune. Britain's ruler for 55 years, the Queen is worth about half a billion dollars, according to Forbes Magazine's look at the Fortunes of the World's Rchest Rulers. But even with all that money she doesn't make the top 5. Thanks to the high price of oil, most of the richest rulers are Middle Eastern Kings, Sheiks and Sultans. Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah is worth 21 billion dollars, not bad for an 82-year-old who at one point lived with a Bedwin tribe¹. The Sultan of Brunei is worth 20 billion according to Forbes. He's reportedly hosting Michael Jackson in his 1700-room palace. The ruler of the United Arab Emirates has 19 billion dollars. His neighbor Sheik al Maktoum of Dubai controls about 14 billion. The only European to make the top 5 - Prince Hans-Adam II of Liechtenstein controls a 4-billion-dollar fortune.
