Jingjing: Mark, how's your summer going?

Mark: It's keeping me busy. So, I can't complain.

Jingjing: Mark, have you heard any more from Fred these past few days?

Mark: Yes. He was afraid to go over his supervisor7's head about the letter of recommendation. So, his supervisor wrote it. But then his supervisor told him he'll be quitting in a few weeks. So, the department manager signed his letter of recommendation.
