 Outside the monks¹ were giving thanks for the waters of the Nile. Here in Ethiopia we feel the water represents life to human beings. If man doesn't have water, he has to endue² drought. The river Nile making its way around Ethiopia nutritious³ the country. But because it's such a pressures limited resource, the Nile has also long been a cause of conflict. Seven hundred years ago, Ethiopia threatened to divert the Nile because what it said was Muslin persecution⁴ of Christians⁵ down river the Egypt. Now the two countries are once again locked in a bit dispute of ownership of use of the river. To understand more happening I need to take to the air.
