But first, the King of Pop has finally been laid to rest in L.A.. It was a quiet and private service with security tight and fans asked to stay away. Close friend Elizabeth Taylor and ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley were among those who paid their respects. Michael Jackson’s death is still being investigated by police after being ruled a homicide late last month. 

Madonna’s Sticky and Sweet world tour has made more than 400 million dollars, making it the highest grossing tour ever for a solo artist. The Material Girl played her last gig on Wednesday in Israel after performing in 32 countries. She played 85 shows and set an attendance record for the biggest crowd in history in Zurich, Switzerland. 

"So I can get used to be when the sun came up." 

At Cormac McCarthy’s haunting vision of the desolated post-apocalyptic world in The Road has made it to the big screen. In an equally bleak film, Viggo Mortensen stars as a father struggling to keep his son alive. It’s premiered at the Venice Film Festival.
