 The top stories from ABC news. The owner of the racing yacht Wild Oats XI Bob Oatley has died. The 87 year old had been badly in illness in the leadup to the recent Sydney-to-Houbart Race. The yachtsman and winemakers bought Wild Oats XI won the Sdyney-to-Houbart Race 8 times. Firefighters in Western Australia have contained a massive blaze, which is not yet under control. Combo wind conditions have allowed crews to build containment lines around the fire, which has a premature around 230 km. Several emergency warnings remain in place for the fire that has raged for 5 days, and claimed 2 lives.
