意大利电信公司收购美国在线子公司(在线收听

This week's good news for Italian telecommunications company Telecom Italia is that they are buying AOL's biggest subsidiary for 675 million euros: AOL's German division, which has over one million DSL subscribers. This fits well with Telecom Italia's plan to build more Internet-related business around the fixed-line part of the company. TI had far more bad news, however. Italian police have just arrested 20 people, mostly policeman and private investigators employed by the company. They are accused of using phone company systems to spy on judges, journalists, politicians and secret service agents connected to recent government scandals. Two high-profile arrests were Giuliano Tavaroli, who was recently Telecom Italia's head of security, and Pierguido Iezzi, the current head of security at Pirelli, which is the largest shareholder in Telecom Italia's parent company.
