A federal court in New Orleans could strike down former President Obama's health care law. The court is considering a lawsuit brought by 18 states that claims the law's insurance mandate is unconstitutional.

Up to nine inches of rain left floods across huge areas of south-central Nebraska. The deluge closed parts of high ways. Dive teams were sent to help people trapped in their homes.

And the National Weather Service says Anchorage, Alaska has set 9 new daily high temperature records in the last 11 days. The state is also dealing with dozens of wildfires, prompting authorities to institute a widespread burn ban.
