This summer the 22-year-old won many hearts for his performance in the web series The Untamed, which came to an end on Aug 7.

今年夏天，这位22岁的歌手因其在网剧《陈情令》中的表现而圈粉无数，该剧已于8月7日收官。

Unlike most period dramas, the series focuses on the brotherhood between the two male leads played by Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo.

On the show, Wang plays a hero who seems to be cold-hearted, but is actually very kind and righteous.

As an internet user wrote on Douban: "Through Wang's outstanding performance, you can clearly feel what the hero really feels and put yourself into his role."

Despite his recent achievement in acting, Wang was previously best known for being a member of the Chinese-South Korean boy group UNIQ.

At the age of 14, he stood out in the National IBD Street Dance Competition and got the chance to be a trainee in an entertainment company.
