All kayaks and canoes shall carry a vertical plate,
made of non-transparent material,
marked with black numbers on a white background, indicating the lane.
The numbers on the plate
must measure 15cm in height and 25mm in thickness.
The plates shall be placed on the centreline on the afterdeck
(Canadian canoes foredeck).
The size of the number plate shall be 18 x 20cm.
The personal numbers provided by the organizing National Federation
shall be placed on the back
and if necessary on the front of the competitor
as required by the organizing federation.
The title or main sponsors name
may be shown on the front side with the personal numbers.
