It's mission accomplished¹ for Chinese divers² who have carried out a successful deep water mission. The team completed a saturation³ dive to 300 meters underwater after coming out of the diving bell in the South China Sea at 8:14 A-M Sunday.

A second team has begun a similar attempt.

Saturation diving is a technique that allows divers to work at great depths for long period of time, according to the international practice, it’s universally applied⁴ when the depth of diving is over 120 meters underwater and time over 1 hour. The mission’s chief inspector⁵ directs the process by video.

The diving bell serves to carry the divers under high pressure, and is also their underwater operation base.
