 Residents in Saint George in southern Queensland are hoping a make-shift levee will hold back the worst of the record flood threatening the town.The Balonne river is expected to pick just over 14 meters this morning.About 30 homes have already been flooded but that could rise when the flood  peaks.

 

 

In other news,reserve bank is tip to cut interest rate again when it meets.Many economists¹ are tipping the cash rate will be cut by a quarter of one percent to four percent.The Big Four banks are under intense pressure to pass on any cut inflow.
