There is quite a storm¹ outside. 外面有很大的暴风雪，

It may snow all night. 可能会下一整夜的雪。

Taylor is happy. Alex is not. 泰乐很开心， 可是亚力克斯不然。

He doesn't like many winter sports. 有许多冬季运动他都不喜欢，

But he does like ice-skating. 但还是喜欢溜冰。

Abby likes snow. 雅碧喜欢雪，

She and Susie can build a snowman. 她和苏希可以堆雪人，

They can build it in front of the station. 她们可以把雪人堆在电视台前面。

Jim likes sledding. And Rob² likes snowballs! 吉姆喜欢滑雪橇， 罗柏喜欢丢雪球！

Hi, Alex! It's a wonderful day! 嗨，亚力克斯！今天真是个美好的一天！

It isn't wonderful, Taylor. 才不美好呢，泰乐，

The weather is bad. It's snowing! 天气很糟， 下着雪呢！

I know! Cold weather is great! 是呀！冷天气很棒！

You can do all kinds of winter sports. 可以玩各种冬季运动。

No thanks. 我可不需要，谢谢。

Don't you like any winter sports? 你一项冬季运动都不喜欢吗？

Well, I like ice-skating. 这个嘛，我喜欢溜冰。

I did⁴ that in Taipei. 我在台北会溜冰，

But I was⁵ inside⁶! 可是那是在室内！

We have lots of snow, Susie! 苏希，下了好多雪呀！

I know. Maybe I can go skiing⁷ this weekend. 是啊，说不定这个周末我可以去滑雪。

Skiing is fun. But I'm not very good at it. 滑雪很好玩， 可是我滑得不是很好。

I'm not very good, either⁸. 我也滑得不太好，

But I have fun! 可是我玩得很开心！

Maybe I can build a snowman after work. 说不定我可以在下班后堆个雪人。

I can help you. 我可以帮妳，

We can build it in front of the station! 我们可以把雪人堆在电视台前面！

He wants lots of snow for sledding! 他想要有很多雪让他滑雪橇！

Does he like sledding? 他喜欢滑雪橇吗？

He loves it. I go with him sometimes. 他很爱，  我有时候会和他一起去。

I like sledding. But I love snowballs! 我喜欢滑雪橇， 但我更爱丢雪球！

Come over to my house this weekend. 这个周末到我家来，

We can throw snowballs! 我们可以丢雪球！

参考例句：

• He said he was right.他说他是正确的。
• He was cold and hungry.他又冷又饿。

6 inside   

n.内部，内脏，内幕；adj.内部的，秘密的，户内的；prep.在...之内

参考例句：

• Two minutes later we were inside the taxi.两分钟以后我们已经坐在出租车里面了。
• He will be back inside two days.他将在两天内回来。

7 skiing   

n.滑雪运动

参考例句：

• I'm a complete novice at skiing. 滑雪我完全是个新手。

8 either   

adj.任一，两方的；prep.任一，随便任一个；conj.或，也

参考例句：

adj.激动的；兴奋的

参考例句：

• He was so excited that he could not speak.他太兴奋，连话都说不出来了。
