1. The senate has rejected the republican effort to repeal¹ parts of former president Obama's health-care law. The final vote on the so-called "Skinning repeal" was 51-49 early Friday, with three republicans joining the democrats² to sink the measure.

2. Foxconn has reached an agreement to build its first US manufacturing plant in Wisconsin. The company is best for making iPhones and other Apple products in China. The move could bring thousands high-tech³ jobs to the badger⁴ state.

3. A Dutch company that makes amusement ride is telling fairs and festivals worldwide to stop using the ride that broke part of the Ohio state fair. The accident in Columbus killed one person and injured seven others.

4. And a commuter⁵ train has crashed into a station in Barcelona, Spain. Officials say 40 people were treated for injures, most of them miner.
