　　cook up

　　1. 解词释义

　　Cook up的本意为“烹调，烹饪”。例如： Hot food is available, though the prisoners have to cook it up themselves. （可以吃到热饭热菜，不过犯人们必须自己煮。）在此，引申为为“伪造，编造”之意，相当于“make something up”。 此外，它还可以表示“策划，谋划”的意思。例如：He must have cooked up his scheme on the spur¹ of the moment.（他肯定是一时冲动策划了这个阴谋。）
