我没睡  我现在都睡不着

但你说了你起床

You just said⁴ you woke up.

我只是不继续躺在床上了

I stopped lying⁵ down.

你一个人吗

Alone⁶?

当然是一个人

Of course⁷ alone.

我指的是萝丝  你女儿

I meant Rosie. Your daughter.

-她在朋友那里  -为什么

- She's with friends. - Why?

有时应付不过来

Can't always cope⁸.

并且昨晚状态很差

And, er, last night wasn't good.

可以理解

That's understandable.

是吗  为什么  为什么能理解

Is it? Why? Why is it understandable?

为什么所有事都能被理解

Why does everything have to be understandable?

为什么不能有些事不被理解  然后明说出来

Why can't some things be unacceptable and we just say that?

1 beginning   

n.开始的部分；起点

参考例句：

• This is only the beginning.这仅仅是开始。
• Children should form good habits from the very beginning.孩子们从一开始就应养成良好的习惯。

2 woke   

v.醒( wake的过去式 )；唤醒；唤起（记忆）；使再次感觉到

参考例句：

• She woke up with a terrible hangover. 她醒来时宿醉反应很厉害。
• I woke up covered in a rash. 我醒来时长了一身皮疹。

3 did   

v.动词do的过去式

参考例句：

• How many goals did you score in the last game?上一场比赛你们进了几个球？
• Why did you choose basketball in the first place?你为何首先选择篮球呢？

4 said   

v.动词say的过去式、过去分词

参考例句：

• He said to me that he could not come.他对我说他不能来。
• He said to his mother that he would do it by himself.他对他的母亲说他将自己独立做那件事。

5 lying   

躺

参考例句：

• He was correct in his assertion that the minister had been lying. 他认定部长说谎，事实果然如此。
• She bridled at the suggestion that she was lying. 她对暗示她在说谎的言论嗤之以鼻。

6 alone   

adj.单独的，孤独的；adv.单独地，独自地；仅仅

参考例句：

• He often makes a round trip to the hospital alone.他经常一个人往返医院。
• It is dangerous for a girl to go out alone at night.一个女孩夜里单独外出是危险的。

7 course   

n.课程，讲座，过程，路线，一道(菜)

参考例句：

• The college course was then cut to three years.大学学制那时缩短到三年。
• Of course,I don't always sleep in the afternoons.当然，我并不总是在下午睡觉。

8 cope   

v.(with)竞争，对抗；对付，妥善处理

参考例句：

• He had a lot of work,but he was able to cope.他的活虽多，但还能应付得来。
• They have to cope with a mountain of problems.他们得应付成堆的问题。

9 hell   

n.地狱，阴间；用以咒骂或表示愤怒，不满

参考例句：

• It's a hell of a hike from Sydney to Perth.从悉尼到珀斯的徒步旅行简直苦死了。
• The boss really gave me hell today.老板今天着实数落了我一通。

10 wife   

n.妻子，太太，老婆

参考例句：

• She is my wife.她是我妻子。
• He is a tall man but his wife is a short woman.他是个子很高的男人，但他妻子很矮。
