The technology company Apple has asked a federal court in the United States to dismiss an earlier ruling to help the FBI unlock the iPhone of the Islamist gunman Syed Rizwan Farook. The company says accessing data on the phone would mean creating new software to bypass encryption technology. That Apple says would ultimately weaken the security on iPhones all over the world.
