F：What exactly happens at your hubs?
M: First, a customer places an order,second, a computer is assembled.(使用一般现在时)
F:the hub is doing the assembling.
M: That’s right, third, the computer is placed in inventory.(what happens fourth?)
F: it’s not in inventory very long,is it?
M: No, just until itgets on the truck.
F: So fourth ,the computer is taken out the inventory and sent to the customer.
M: all within 5 days,we work fast
Q：Where are computer assembled?
A：at hubs.

M: Yes,although We want to keep our inventory at a minimum.
F: If you have a large inventory of computers, you have more control.
M: More control and more expense.
F: Many companies operate efficiently with large inventories.

F: You mean that high-tech industries like computers change too quickly？
M: Exactly, I don't want inventory of last year’s products.

F: The technology is changing and that leads to new development.
M: New products are developed constantly and computers on the shelf(区别off the shelf) are becoming virtually obsolete.
F: Customers want the newest and the fastest.
M: No problem, but meanwhile our inventory is losing 1% of its value every week.
Q: Why does inventory become obsolete?
