 　　Chinese machinery¹ producer Zoomlion has purchased a rice field in Hunan to launch its mechanical farming project.

　　Zoomlion officials have suggested they feel the agricultural sector² is a new area of potential.

　　The company signed a deal last year for 340-million US dollars for a majority share in farm machinery maker³ Chery Heavy.
