 　　Devouring² Time, blunt thou the lion's paws, 吞噬一切的流光，你磨钝雄狮爪，

　　And make the earth devour¹ her own sweet brood; 使大地把自已的幼婴吞掉，

　　Pluck the keen teeth from the fierce tiger's jaws³, 你从猛虎的嘴中撬出了利牙，

　　And burn the long-lived phoenix⁴ in her blood; 教长寿的凤凰被活活燃烧。

　　Make glad and sorry seasons as thou fleets, 你行踪过处，令季节非哭即笑，

　　And do whate'er thou wilt⁵, swift-footed Time, 呵，捷足的时间，你为所欲为吧，

　　To the wide world and all her fading sweets; 踏遍河山万里，摧残尽百媚千娇。

1 devour   

v.吞没；贪婪地注视或谛听，贪读；使着迷

2 devouring

3 jaws
